Questions about RF1

I beat this game a long time ago, but I've picked it up, again for some reason. So, now that I'm married and am just doing the farming thing, my mind has had time to wander and I've come up with three questions that would be really cool to have answered.

#1 - Where is the best place to mine gold? I just need a couple of pieces and I can rarely seem to find any. I come across platinum more often that gold.

#2 - Where does Lynette live? She's a resident of the town now, but I never see her after dark!

#3 - I have Bianca as my wife because she's awesome, but I want to know if there is anything I can give her that will satisfy her. She always tells me that since we're married she was hoping for more.
