I had noticed that two-handed take a longer time to swing then one-handed swords. The same goes for most of the spears. So, when I tried fighting with a two-handed sowrd, I lost some HP due to the monsters hitting me before I hit them. Most spears don't really go fast enough. However, I mentally kicked myself after I had 'mastered' the Magical Lance. I'm guessing lances are faster than spears, then?

So, which one do you prefer? Or do you prefer using farm tools?

One-handed swords, definately. What good is a powerful weapon if monsters hit you faster than you can swing it? I go for speed.

I couldn't put down the Magical Lance that Jake gave me, and I became attached to its color an speed and effect it had on monsters~

I go with one-handed swords for speed. I use a two hand sword to take on more than one enemy though.

I religiously used a one-handed sword in RF1, but in RF2 I'm trying my other options.

In RF2, my main weapon is magic. :3

isn't that a bit hard being as it takes up a LOT of RP?

If you get your skill up, it actually takes a while for it to go down :3

^^ The only thing about Magic is that once you use up your RP, you can't do anything else (with other weapons, you can continue to deplete your HP after your RP is used up). That's the one disadvantage, but other than that, I agree - as long as you take the time to raise your Magic skill up a bit, magic's a very useful ability that shouldn't be overlooked.

Yus yus-- 'specially since I have strawberries growing (every other day fruition FTW!), and lots of other crops, so when all my work's done, I have MORE RP than I need.

If I run out, I just switch to weapons. I've gotten used to the timing of the two-handed sword, and buying a spear next. :3

I personally use only two handed swords in the beginning, Claymore in particular. I have absolutely no logical reason for it, but it was the sword I first bought in RF1, and I am now trying to go throughe gen1 with it as well. They may not be as fast, but its all in your technique.

One-handed.
Though, I think I'm going to have to buy a different sword sometime.... I've been using the same one for too long now.
