Hm. Please specify, RF 1, or RF2 (and if it's RF2, first or second generation?)

If you are in RF2, do the requests for Herman and Rosalind!!
Focus on planting and growing crops, because they will earn you the most money. Plant the crops that regrow their fruits such as strawberries, sweet potato, and corn

^Definitely what he said. I planted four plots of each of those in their dungeons (Strawberry in Trieste, Corn in Blessia, Yams/S. Potatoes in Messhina) and once they started to harvest I was never short again. I also have two plots of pineapples growing in Blessia and I'd grow other things in the other dungeons as I needed them or received them. Before building the school, I had over 600,000 and I was mid-fall when I built the school. Currently in 2nd gen and I have over 400,000 even though I've built the school, all the upgrades and stuff and enlarged the barn (except 28th floor). By going to the school after midnight to jump to 2nd gen I was able to save the crops in the dungeons from the storms and so my kid had a little money and some rune points to rely on already when she headed to the dungeons. Which is good, since they get extremely hard.
I also got four of each of the produce animals (Buffamoo, Wooly, and Cuckadoo). In about two weeks I was getting 4 L. milk, 4 L. wool, and 4 L. eggs every three days. This also helps too as each of those got good money.
It's a little hard in the beginning, but the rich family's quests will help you get started. Invest in some crops that regrow and go plant them! Once you've gotten a few harvests off those, you'll have WAY too much money.
I've also found that food ships nicely too. Those rewards from people, like apple pie, that you have no use for? Ship them!
Fish is also good in the beginning too.

I'm going to assume like in your other topics Rune Factory...Just mine, mine, mine baby! Seriously though Toros, Clemens, and Mount Gigant are your friend.

yeah assuming RF1 to begin with I would fish alot, but once you get a hammer go mining. Since the rock 'respawn' when you exit and return to a cave in RF1 you can really make most of your money there.
Course if never hurts to have some regrowing crops in the main field with some monsters to take care of it. That's money you never even have to work for. Just replant each season.

In RF I suggest mining. You can make a lot of money that way. Also, strawberries planted in the first cave are a huge money maker.
For RF2 defeating the monsters can actually make a good ammount of money, especially in Gen. 2. In Gen. 2 defeating the plant monsters and mushrooms in the first cave proves very profitable, and gets you exp. at the same time ^.^

^Well, even in RF1 I suggest planting crops.
In that case, I had Strawberries in Carmite (filled all four plots in the first room and all six plots in the second. THAT was profit PLUS rune points), Green Peppers in Toros (filled those eight plots in the first room, although I would now suggest yams. They grow faster and have more profit and they still would harvest every other day like the peppers), and Tomatoes in Clemens (filled the...12 plots? I think it's 12...plots in the third? room. They're past two plots and a wall of flames, there's a monster generator there. Either way, those harvested every three days but I had a system where 4 of them would produce one day, 4 the next, and the last 4 the next. Corn produces a better profit than tomatoes and regenerate the same amount, but take a little longer in the beginning).
So...yeah. Strawberries, Green Peppers, and Tomatoes. Seriously. Crops are amazing, most of money came from them. And animals. Once you get your farming skill up, it's not a big deal RP wise.

I planted strawberrys in armite cave, and I've racked in about 300k just from that in a short time. Also, minning is very good. If your minning, just get all the rocks, then leave the cave then go back in scine the rocks regenerate. You could always fish. If you have makers then make yarn and mayonaise and yeah.

If it's RF1, there is noway to get profits faster than mining. Try to Upgrade your Hammer to Silver, and go to mining at Clemens Cave (Ceci lost room). You can easy find the Ruby high Level, and sometime Diamond if I don't mistake.
And if you try to for some Sword with Fire Stone (same area too), sell them and get big money.

Carmite - Spring
Mt Gigant - Summer
I forgot the name of the fall Cave, it's the third cave though - Fall
Misty Bloom - Winter
Then I think there's Kasimir Ruins which is Spring... and not sure about the last two caves. Sorry, it's been a long time since I played RF1 ._.
