Oh yes. ._. My characters sprite's head randomly touches the poison panel when I am riding my wolf and somehow he always ended up poisoned.
That's the stupidest thing ever. xD It shouldn't have been anywhere near him enough to effect him.

I have, however, noticed that if I'm riding my wolf and I pass the poison patches, if my characters sprite even so much as touches the poison, I still get poisoned despite there being no possible way of me actually touching the poison. Apparently the game designers didn't think to use z-levels.
Monsters don't get poisoned but they are hurt by it (only once). It's as if the second they get poisoned it is cured. So, if you pass over a poison panel while riding on a monster, you will get poisoned and the monster will be hurt for around 5-10 damage, but only once, not over and over again like you are.

No way! It wasn't just me who did the mini guide, there are tons of people who contributed - Misti Rose, Guestie :3, Kemine, Songwolf, Kemine all contributed their own sections and countless others gave us help and tips on our sections... so really the Mini Guide is the work of the entire UNoT community - we just put it together... so it definitely wasn't only me. I just happened to ride over a poison patch a few days ago and I thought it was weird my wolf wasn't poisoned... XD So it was only coincidence. But thank you =)

Of course ^_^ I didn't just read them though, I use them all the time. If I have a question, chances are it's answered there, and if it's not I either find it out and put in a section or I ask it and someone knows^_^ The goodness of forums =)

Poison patches actually may reappear, it just takes a long time. In the first gen I decided to get rid of the poison patches somewhere late spring/summer. The game stayed free of poison patches until Winter. I cleared all poison patches in the second gen and no new poison patches have appeared yet (I'm in late summer right now). It either just takes them a lot of time to appear, or they just appear in winter.
You can get rid of the poison patches! *gasp* Those have been driving me crazy! I must get rid of them! I didn't know you could get rid of them! Thanks for the info!
If you get rid of the poison patch, till the land, and plant crops, there's no way they'll ever come back unless your crops die. Which can actually happen, according to Freyashawk, if you leave them untended for 2 weeks+.
And yes, i hate how my wolf gets poisoned by the scorpions on Blessia, but it always manages to survive with only a smidgen of HP left. XD .. scary. And i don't think there's anyway to cure your monster's ailment until you reach gen 2 and get the spellbooks. (unless you eating an antidote herb somehow also affects your monster? o.O)
Hmm, not sure if I trust Freyashawk on that one; I left my strawberries untended for about 3 weeks of winter and they were good and well when I came back. Maybe it's chance.
