I haven't finished RF2 but I was at the max level for RF1, I think it was 99.

Dont' recall exactly, but I do tend to over train my characters. I'm sure he was around level 65 at least. I know I had all the best possible items you could craft with him. Wasn't much of a battle at the end, but that's how I like it.
