i mine in padova everyday, and I only get 3 gold max..
as for platinum, I rarely find it..
instead I just buy from Yue(8800 G!)

I found gold in Blessia Island - silent cave, I use a silver hammer to mine and when I go to Padova I find a decent amount of gold and have recently started finding platinum as well.
