I beleive it's a glass eye...being as it's looking to his left, while the one that's never hidden is looking forward.

Maybe he was born with one eye only or he lost his eye durning battle against monsters? Gordon also has only one eye.

This is starting to get kinda ridiculous.

The guy's other eye's just fine. ._. I think it just looks funky 'cause it was a last-minute job or somethin'.

Yeah, I'm also glad Barrett isn't perfect-looking guy. His eye makes him uglier but also makes him hotter^^
I can imagine him standing in a front of a mirror with sad face and crying "Oh, my eye looks so bad. Nobody will love me. I must hide it somehow" CUTE!
