I also hate the things that run away from you, like a Wooly. I try to befriend them, and if I'm not careful, they run to the edge of the map and addclintly go into another room. Then I have to start all over again, befriending them.
There's a easy way to befriend the woolies and chickens; just trap them around a rock or the edge of the stream, and they won't be able to run away since they don't know how to turn. They always try to go straight XD

Yeah, that one orc always walks right past my wolf. So I have to curve around him and then kill him with my watering bucket... haha... XD
Yeah, I forgot about the ants and spiders, but they're so funny. They run away, walk up, attack, and run away. It annoyed me forever because I couldn't figure out how to kill them. It's a pretty good strategy but it looks, like you say Misti, hilarious =P
So how exactly DO you kill those annoying run-away monsters easily? I want to get some insect skins >.<;

It's the same way I kill most monsters. Don't try to run after them and attack - they run away too fast. Just wait in a spot, don't move, until they come to attack you. Then, when they come up to attack you after running around, just step back and attack them. The key is to be patient and wait for THEM to attack you and then dodge and give your own attack, because running after them and slashing is too slow. This works with most monsters actually, because they have to pause to attack.
Those damn fish and the floating blobs of blue « Puppy Doodoo » in the mountains that freeze you, leave ice and slow down the entire game when they attack.

I agree with you! I hate those things! And I also hate any poisonous monsters...being poisoned really hurts!!!
I wonder if you can survive the poison like your monsters can? If you leave your monster uncured of poison for a while, it'll automatically heal itself when it's down to around 20 HP.

Yup, same thing happens with you. You can't die from poison alone though it can increase your chances since it leaves you with very low HP.
Jae-Jae wrote:How do you find out the monster's names though?
Once you befriend then and they're in your barn, just go to the sign in front of the barn and highlight the monster whose name you want to know. Then check the screen up top - you'll see their name, description, HP and current FP level.^^
