I read the only goal is to get married.

I also read to 'gather and save' items for the...

*spoilers*

2nd gen

If you save those items, does the 2nd gen become too easy? I know I wont make more than 100K since I dont want to have all the money i need for everything from the start from the 2nd gen.

I was just thinking of wooing one girl, marry her, sleep until i get a kid, and well get 100K between wooing and now.

Anything else i need for 1st gen?

If you check the RF2 Mini Guide (it's a stickied topic; there's also a link in my signature), there's a whole section on 2nd Gen, with a lot of info... including what you can choose to bring along. =)

It probably won't be too easy, unless you level up a high level. The only thing that the items are for are to progress through the dungeon. So most likely not.

Like the above posters said, bringing along those items into 2nd gen are only to help you get past barriers faster. They have no effect on how easy the actual -gameplay- will be; that is, killing bosses and such. And trust me, you already need 100,000 G for the school and 1000 wood too, so i wouldn't go to 2nd gen too poor. >.< You still need to get a bunch of upgrades from Yue, not mention 28 floors on your barn. So i would go with at least 200,000 G, if you plan to get the seed maker, etc.

And don't go into 2nd gen with to low a level, because you will die quite often, the monsters in 2nd gen are harder to defeat and more come out of the monster machines.

The suggested level is 12-16.

Don't forget you have the requests to complete - there are separate ones for each generation. It's something to do other than sleep :) If you don't want to make too much money go easy on the farming - I've made 700,000 so far mostly on crops!!! You can also catch some monsters and level their FP up.
