._. i think there's a topic like this just on the next page.. but, in gen 1, im using a silver wolf too. XD they're probably the best, hands down. (in attack power, usability..since you can ride them)
And in gen 2, i'm going to get a gold wolf as soon as i can. XD and then maybe a fairy of sorts, so that it can heal me..
I used to take my Silver Wolf in first generation, even though it didn't have the highest HP. But it's impossible and weird to ride an Orc Viking. Now that I'm in second generation I use a Hunter Wolf.
No, I guess my wording might have been a bit misleading or something. I said it was impossible to ride an Ork Viking because I had one, but chose to take a Silver Wolf instead cause you can ride it even though an Ork Viking has a higher HP.
i bring the hunter wolf, since it is a great pet to bring.
i tried those with hoods and (sickles? oh, scythe.) and they don't work good enough for me.
although it might be because It is only at FP 7. and I am entering Palermo.

Exactly the same. I thought about getting a demon or one of those small dragons you find later on, but but then I really didn't need a sidekick anyway. besides riding the wolf to save time is the primary reason to have one once you're high level anyway.
For most of the game I brought the wolf with me cause I love riding them . But when I got to the dungeon place I'd always bring the green fairy cause she was stronger.

Really? Was her wind attack at 10 FP pretty strong? I hadn't thought about using a monster with a ranged attack. I really would miss riding my wolf from dungeon to dungeon though...
I do not take any monsters with me. All monsters I have are wollies, chickens (sorry, their name is too long >.<), buffamoos and hornets. Well, they give me important stuff like milk, eggs, wool and honey. I don't keep any fighting monsters. I like to battle alone.
hmm, i never bring any monsters at 1st Gen
at 2nd gen, I bring Mini Dragon with me, so it can takes care of monsters while i was watering crops, fishing, mining or such
