Having a slight Problem... (RF1 and RF2)
I know that I'm the worst kind of inconsistent on these kinds of things, but I have a couple problems/questions that I was wondering if anyone could resolve?
First, the RF1 question(s):
1. Can you trade items between RF1 and RF2?
2. I cannot find my friend code FOR ANYTHING. I swear, I looked through the forums, and I know that it's supposed to show up when I click "add" under friend roster, but it doesn't! It has occured to me that possibly I need to initiate Wi-Fi connection (that warning 'Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection treats your Nintendo DS Game Card and Nintendo DS as a set. Save this Nintendo DS system's Wi-Fi User Information to this Game Card and connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection?' inspired this theory) but a) my home internet appears to be incompatable with the DS system and though my DS says that it can connect with my school's internet, when I try to do so (in the game; when I "Test Connection" it says it's fine) after displaying "Connecting to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection... Please wait a moment..." for a vexingly long period, it displays....wait a minute, I'm waiting for the error message to come up so I can transcribe it exactly...Here we go, "Error Code 20100: Unable to conect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. For help, check the software Instruction Booklet, or visit www.nintendowifi.com. This confuses me. Help?
RF2 questions:
1. I have two copies of RF2, one in english and one in Japanese (the former was a gift from my mother who didn't know I already had a copy)--can I communicate between them?
2. Do I need my friend code to communicate between the two games if they are in the same room (I'm using the DS wireless, not Wi-Fi connection)? (my little brother has a DS that I would borrow to do this)
3. I can't get THIS friend code either! at least this time I get a bunch of question marks instead of absolutely nothing, but still. Again, do I need to connect to the Wi-Fi network to get the codes? if so, why the deuce do I need them for non-internet communication??
As an afterthought, it has just occured to me to ask: can a DS Lite (my brother's) communicate via wireless communication with a DS classic (mine)? because that might have been my problem....
Thanks for hearing me out!
Sheepish but Hopefully awaiting your reply,
HaruMei.
P.S. If it turns out that this is somehow dame, I have no problems with a Mod deleting it--but I would appreciate it if I could get some answers first?

RF1
1. No.
2. You press A on the shell and then on the menu that comes up click on 'friend roster' Then click on the button saying 'add' your friend code will now be showing on the top screen of the DS
I don't have RF2 so I can't answer those other questions.
Though with 3, it should be the same as RF1 I believe.

You could also have the wrong wifi settings on your router, so your DS can't connect. If your router has WPA settings, you need to convert it to WEP setting in order to use wifi. Google it up or call a technician.HaruMei wrote:Thank you, all!
However, I still have a problem: the internet not working. Any suggestions?
