RF2 is reaallly slow

I don't really enjoy it compared to the traditional HM games. The way the characters talk is really naggy and the character runs too slowly and when he keeps things in his rucksack the animation is really sloooow.

I take about 2 hours just trying to get through half the day.

Any way to speed things up??

Capture a silver wolf/hunter wolf to ride around. Cuts down half the time, helps speed things up.

Actually, I still hope the time more slower, because I don't have enough time to do everything I need. But no way to slow down or speed up game time.

Just go to sleep way early.
If you're in the first generation, there isn't much to do aside from all of the requests and crud like that. I'd go to sleep at 3 PM, sometimes earlier, sometimes later.
Once you get into the second generation, there is a ton of stuff to keep you busy.

And him running isn't anything compared to how horrid the lag is when you go into your barn with a ton of monsters. XDD

Other than the obvious lag in a few places the speed of the game seems fine with me. Wolf riding does cut down on some of the travel time.

I don't find it slow. There seems to be an increase to the day but that plays to my advantage.

I like how time is slow a little. MT it seemed I was always running around frantic, trying to woo my wannabe wives and take care of my crud. I go hunting for gifts for my bride to be and level up and that takes care of my day. ^^

Yeah, MM is the slowest game evah.

BTW, I didn't find RF2 slow. Of course, there is a glitch which makes your game slower if 4 (or more) characters are close.

Yeh, It's not all that slow. I blame the pre-rendered backgrounds, which look great, but they don't look natural while your character is moving.

Harvest Moon games are better slow they take time and in real life I'm pretty sure you couldn't put things into your rucksack/backpack as fast as Kyle can.

Maybe it could be your game. =P

Well that's one of the lagging places. Also in the barn when you have 3 or 4 monsters in the room with you. But that really doesn't happen that often.

It's a glitch. If many people is around, the game is getting slow.

On festival days it's soo slow. there are like a gagillion people there.

why i got the feeling that what he/she meant by slow is like well....slow.....in everything...
cause i read that 'I take about 2 hours just trying to get through half the day. ' as he/she takes 2 rl hours just for half day at game
and i dont feel the animation for putting item rucksack is long at all, barely 1s
Other HM seems longer actually, like IoH fpr example

If this in the case then, are you by any chance not playing it at your DS but by other way? Cause it's possible for that to happen if your computer has low RAM

but if you mean by slow (and nothing to do, yeah), i'm just a bit agree with that, sometime it can feel so,
but mostly i've always lot of things to do and goes to sleep at 1AM everyday, even from 1st gen; leveling, collecting items, fishing, etc
so i don't think my 'life' in game is slow, just can be boring sometime
but every HM tend to be so after some days of daily routines...
