After the alter to where you beat the boss leads you to a room that has a sword. I collected the five tablets and talked to Barret. But nothing happened. what do I do.

Anyways, if you mean the boss in trieste forest, and talked to him after beating the boss, then his other speeches won't be very important in the meantime. Move on to blessia island, defeat the boss there, then talk to him again, then collect some more tablets. You have to get all the tablets to finish the storyline <XP

You have to go to Trieste forest, then Bessia island,then after that,I think you may have to go to Messhina,then Padova Mountains. You have to go to them in order,I think.

You don't really have to do it in order, but yeah, each dungeon has set levels and stuff, so its easier to follow the pattern~

Hmm, actually I think you've got to do them in order. Even if you kill all the statues in one dungeon - let's say Padova Mts - if you haven't killed the Messhina Boss yet, you'll still get that "I feel like there was something here, but now it's gone. I'll go check somewhere else." message. The only requirement for the bosses is defeating the previous boss (you don't even need to have all the tablets for that dungeon).

I think the TC was referring to the altars though, after you defeat the boss of each dungeon you gain access to a new map that looks like a stone cellar or something. There's a little altar with a sword or something in it, but if you approach it, you get "I examined it, but nothing happened." That's because you need to defeat all the bosses and get all the tablets, then the altars will come into play.

>< Sorry XD I mean, in the end you need to defeat all the bosses and get all the tablets. You can get the tablets at any time there's no restrictions or pre-requisites. But the bosses, you must defeat them in order. You can't fight the Blessia boss unless you've killed the Trieste boss. But yeah, I do the same as you, just randomly collecting tablets here and there. XD

EDIT: Oh, except some statues you cannot "read" until you get rid of a previous statue. For example you can't read the last statue at Blessia (the one that asks for 6 Moondrops and 6 Pink Cats) unless you've already gotten rid of the first statue (the one that asks for pineapples). The only time this happened to me was on Blessia, either that's the only time it happens or I did them in the right order in the other dungeons so it was never a problem.
