Anyone else had this happen?

2nd gen, I'm playing as Aria and Jake has a request on the board. I talk to him and he says "I need some IRON to make a sword. Bring me one piece of IRON." or something like that. Being the idiot that I am, I go into Messhina Valley to get it and right after I find the IRON I get killed by a bird. My game restarts at the entrance to Messhina Valley. by this time I have forgotten what I am supposed to be getting, but what's this? It's 1:00! I need to get my lunch from Douglas! "You got a DONUTS"

So I finally go to talk to Jake and guess what he says to me?

"Hurry up and bring me a DONUTS. I need it for my sword making."

O.o

lol sorry that was so long. It made me laugh though.

Haha. What a funny glitch ... never happened to me though...
Did you give him the donuts? XD Do you still have that save file? If so, reload and see what effects it (like, try going to Jake before getting the donuts, or giving him iron when he asks for donuts... etc.)

well, I saved after completing the quest.

I am deeply sorry. I have failed you.

BUT. I remembered that I had Iron in my cabinet so I got it and gave it to him.

It was just as if he had asked for the iron all along. I got the windsword for completing the quest, just like normal.

and I then I ate the donuts. lol.

XD No you didn't fail me~^^ I probably would have saved too. Actually I would have freaked out and spazzed and switched off my game and then eaten a cookie, to calm my frazzled nerves. I'm always scared when there's a glitch that my file's gonna get corrupted... or something. XD

Alright. That confirms it's just a scripting error then... nothing too serious. Gosh Natsume... I thought this game was pretty low on glitches (by their standards) but every time I turn around another one pops up. Maybe this one's Marvelous' fault though...

blame marvelous for everything (even global warming!)! XD

scripting errors are great. they add color to my life when everything seems dull and gray.

You thought it was low on glitches?
At first I thought there were no glitches (Unless you coun't the voice acting as a glitch)
But now I can't wait for RF3 and RFF and the new company (I will miss natsume though...)

in gen 1, i gave rosalind my first bottle of wine and she called me aaron (I named him kyle) x.x although you proby knew that =D i still thought it was funny! Lol also i couldnt figure out who Fern was whenever i talked to Dorothy, thought it was a scripting error but i'm just not that attentive XD. Still Jake's funny! XD

Kwaa <XP Never happened to me before, but that was... Weird <XD I bet Jake was jealous of your donuts and was trying to trick you that the donut thing was a glitch <XD

lol, yeah, that has happened to me too. Another thing with names that happened: in second gen. I talked to Byron twice at the flower festival. second time I talked to him, he called me Horus (first gen. name) instead of Eileen (second gen. name). Then I did the vegetable juice quest for Dorothy (she asks you to give veggie juice to Julia) and Julia said "Thanks, Kyle!".

Yeah that same thing happend to me when Kyle got married and had a baby (I named Marie), well it was the eating contest and Jasper called me marie.
