fishing pole

i wanted to get one of those cause i need it to get one sprite..
so i visited galen, it was rainin around noon and i had nothing equipped except my kappa broach.. so how do i get it?!? i already tried it for at least 3 times!! ( i know but hey! it's my first data {newly bought} and it's my first year

To get a free Fishing Pole you need to visit Galen. Visit his house on Saturday between 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm, and Galen will present you with a fishing pole. Just make sure that you don't have a tool equipped in the red slot of your Rucksack or you won't activate the event. Remove the equipped tool and go back inside his house to try and trigger the event again. Nina also must be inside the house since she is involved in the event, and you must remember to introduce yourself to both people.
So it's Saturday? You've talked to them both? Nina is inside the house?

Did you talk with Nina and Galen before trying it? You have to 'introduce' youself first

Try and take everything out of the slots before going. Make sure they're both in the house

No, I think it has to be rainy. No worries hun, you will get your fishing pole. It took me forever too. I tried and failed 3 saturdays in a row. It might just be a really weird glitch in your game. I remember getting it when it was raining outside. I tried on only one other rainy day and.. I don't know what went wrong.
Just keep trying! You'll get there : D

I remember it was night time when I got it, I followed Galen into the house and Nina was already there, and I had no tool equipped, and suddenly I got a cutscene. If you follow Galen from the bridge in the evening it might help your chances of finding both of them in the house.
