Did you give them present? I dont find befriend people in this game is hard at all
By the time i unlocked Edge (8 Summer), i have 21 townspeople at 3 hearts or above ._.

just buy pot and make herb tea, which make cheap best present for 4 people already, then go to Gull Island and collect banana and coconuts, 4 more
and if you give Alan or Cresson mushroom since beginning, they should be at 3 already
and boiled egg for Ose, and many more

With Best Present plus 2x rubs (until they have many hearts), you only need 5 days to get 1 heart

and that event with Bo, give him food (any will do, even common mushroom) for 3 days, so he can repaired it

You can rub them twice a day?
So far I have Juli, Won and Wizard to three. Kotomi, Lina and Herbal to one. I haven't been too good at visiting everyone everyday... >_>

once,
but what i mean by twice is, after they jumped once and show music notes (like when they got 'like' items), rub them again so they'll hop and show many hearts like they got 'love' items

Sara, or anyone with the game: How about some detailed description of the gameplay. I want to know all the new features and how they work together with the good ol' Harvest Moon gameplay.

I actually just found out you have to rub them until they jump! XD I get what you mean by twice though. Thanks again, this is making things a little easier.

Um, what do you guys mean, rubs? Like, giving people back rubs, or moving the wiimote over them?

I've never heard anything like this spoken of before and reading it out of context makes it seem like something weird

It's a new controversal feature where you can engage in sexual acts with the townspeople lol!not really,I just couldn't resist!

you use a second player wii mote to move a little heart shape cursor over the character/animal and keep doing it for a few seconds, that's the 'rub', increases affection XD
