And Marlin is always all 'My ancestors came in from town blah blah'.
"My ancestors came out here for more land" or something like that. That's what Marlin says every time I talk to him when he's outside walking aimlessly amongst the fields at their farm.

It's funny when Vesta says 'It's hard maintaining the fields this time of the yearrr' when it's winter. Because there is nothing there. Weeds don't grow. There's never any stumps or rocks in their fields. . .
