Hi! I'm trying to get a wonderful stone from Chen during Winter, but it's not working! I save the night before, go to sleep, and go to his store. No wonderful. So I reload and use a tool once before I go to sleep. Still no wonderful. I used my tool up to 9 times before going to bed, and still no wonderful! Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

if they're correct they'll work, it's not just using your tool, it had a purpouse xD
Remember that sleeping raises it too

I'm doing exactly what it's saying there, but it doesn't work.

I guess it's depends of the day. Perhaps you try to take a look at Chen's store by 12 of winter or 13 winter. I jst get the wonderful by those day. Erm... anyone can confirm about this? Sorry if I was wrong.

Are you sure your doing this?

1. Use a tool
2. Save
3. Go to bed

I had the same problem but it turned out that I kept saving before using the tool, so when I used the tool it didn't count the next day. It can be confusing but you just have to maker sure you do those steps correctly. :D

Oh, so do you have to save AFTER using a tool? Because I had been doing this:

1. Reload
2. Use tool
3. Go to bed

XD Yes, you need to save after. However, here's what I do.

Save before bed, making sure I have at least a quarter of stamina, if not more. Get out the pole, I believe this uses up the least stamina, but still counts as a tool. So...my steps.

1) Save in front of the bed.
2) Go to bed.
3) Check Chen's store.
a. If the wonderful is there, awesome, buy it and continue with day. Remember,t he wonderful will be at the end of the list.
b. If the wonderful is not there, reload, and continue reading

That's the first thing I do. If you got b, keep reading.

4) Reload.
5) Use pole once.
6) Go to bed.
7) Check Chen's store.

If the wonderful isn't there, just reload but use the tool twice this time before you go to bed. Keep on doing this until you have the wonderful. Every time you need to reload, you need to keep track of how many times you use the tool. Add on another use every time. So you do it once, then twice, then three times, then four times, etc. etc.

That's what I do, it's faster than saving.




But here's what others do...

1) Save
2) Go to bed
3) Check Chen's store

If the wonderful is there, done, if not, continue.

4) Reload
5) Use tool once.
6) Save.
7) Go to bed
Check Chen's store.

Every time the wonderful isn't there, you just repeat steps 4-8, making sure you save after you use the tool ONCE.





No matter which way you do it, you may need to use the tool 9 times, if not more if you lose track or something.

It's random when it comes to the store.

I got it once and never got it again.

So yeah.

No, it depends on your farming degree. If 5 is the last number in it, the wonderful appears in the shop.


I still managed to get 3 wonderfuls by luck, so it wasn't a total waste.

I don't know if this is the issue, but I've heard that after midnight, the tool trick doesn't work since it's technically the next day already and it's already set if he has the Wonderful for sale or not.

I believe this is correct. Since it takes the farm degree from the night before you go to bed, this also means that the points you would get from going to bed don't count towards it.

However, I don't know how true that is that after midnight it doesn't work, but I'd believe it.

Haha, I couldn't resist. But seriously, that might be the root of the problem! Grr, I guess this is a good way for my farmer girl to get in bed early.
