Pry won't get one. I have a DS that works just fine for me. I also already have a digital camera, so don't need that feature. I guess the DSi just doesn't interest me as much, since my pink DS still works really great. My phone also plays music, so don't need it for that. I'd only need it for games, and as far as I've heard, there haven't been any DSi exclusive games, nor is it backwards compatible. When they have a DSii or something that is a little more impressive and a bigger step up, maybe then I'll get that one. Just like I skipped over the SP, I'll pry skip over this one.

As for having all these features in one (phone, camera, internet, games, etc), I dunno. My phone has a camera, but I like my digital camera better. I don't need to carry around a game system all the time. I have my DS in my backpack, but when I go out, I don't take it with me because I pry go out with other people. My phone has music, and that is a little better than carrying around both an MP3 player and a phone, but oh well, only 1 gig.

ANYways, I guess some hardcore collectors would want one. Some just wouldn't care. System just doesn't seem as impressive, and if I bought a new system any time soon it would be the Wii.

I already have the DS lite, I'm not gonna buy another one just for the camera or music player.

No. I have a DS Lite that's in perfect condition. The DSi is just a waste of money for me. Really, the DSi just seems like another attempt to appeal to 'casual gamers' while they leave us left for dead. D:

Only way I would remotely consider getting one is if a.)my Lite dies, b.)the price drops dramatically, and c.)they release old GBC games as downloadable content. But then again, I can play GBC games on my PSP for free, so that last one is meh.

I personally really hate it and just shake my head at Nintendo for making it. :/ I'd much rather have the DS's replacement than this, thank-you. -_- Why don't you get started on that instead of throwing unnecessary « Puppy Doodoo » onto an existing system, huh? *sigh* From the moment I saw it (what, a year ago?) as a Japan release, I was never excited. I actually had a Star Wars moment; to quote Luke Skywalker, "What a piece of junk." It's unnecessary, too expensive, and if the DS needed a camera and needed to play music, then why didn't it do it from the beginning? Do not want.[/rant]

I think you guys just need to play with one to see how it is... there is quite a lot of conclusion-jumping going on.

I personally LOVE mine. Seriously it is amazing. The games are really neat, I downloaded a few more since my last post ("Spinning Action" and "Reading the Atmosphere" which are both really fun). It's perfect for me. The GBA thing was never an issue since I keep my SP around for that (never did like playing GBA games on my Phat). If it isn't your cup of tea, fine, but I really don't think the flat-out hate is warranted.

I know I've said this before but it is still mind-boggling how people think the DSi is a waste but jumped all over the DSLite when they already had a Phat! Really.

It looks cool, but I really don't need one since I have a perfectly fine DS Lite.

The features look nice, except the no GBA slot kinda turns me away. 'Cause I always kinda liked that feature of the DS. >:
