Official RFF Discussion/Help Thread
So I defeated the last boss at level 44 just now, and since this is a help thread I guess I will be calm and say..
OK FORGET IT, FOR THE LOVE OF PIE! BRING HP ITEMS!!!!!
The boss takes out your hp faster than you can say fudge. It took me about ten tries to win and I was getting sick of fighting the guy over and over.
Yet I will admit.. the final boss theme is very catchy. "Pray to heaven with areeee song"
So yeah...if anyone is getting near there, make a lot of butter rolls. Not only does it help with hp and rp, it boosts your attack by 30% which is amazing for that battle. Oh and please don't be like me.. DON'T LET YOUR GUARD DOWN FOR A SECOND. Most of the reasons why I kept dying in each stage, I kept taking everything lightly when I was winning. Eventually I went crazy and the boss actually died xP.
So I guess this ends part 1 of the game for me. Part 2 is basically post game dungeons, events, marriage, and child. =D
Level 44- Fluffy hat, Dew Pendant, Wind Cape, Wristwatch, and 1H sword Durandel.

Heh thanks xD it's not that amazing though, any boss in my opinion can be brought down with some good strategy. And good luck Ayumi, if you have a shine blade and E. Drink X, I think your going to be fine. =DAyumi_Ishimaru wrote:44?! Thats fricken amazing. Good job!
I'm about to fight him actually, and got plenty of E. Drink X
:D
I have all that equipment, except a Shine Blade for me.
I'm very impressed by the games bosses compared to the original Rune factory DS that I've played. And yikes.. that last boss song is still playing in my head...

Woah - that's great! Congrats! So I should have no problem then, I guess. I never would have guessed about the butter rolls, though. Now, when you say "last boss" do you mean the final plot boss, or the WI boss?Blue wrote:So I defeated the last boss at level 44 just now, and since this is a help thread I guess I will be calm and say..

Plot boss =D I suggest not looking up how to beat him or else your going to make it too easy, it's very fun and challenging when you don't know what's coming. And yeah butter rolls are amazing, basically my key point of beating him.Maki Zushi wrote:Woah - that's great! Congrats! So I should have no problem then, I guess. I beat him! The dog creature thing wasn't as hard as I thought. Gelwein himself wasn't too bad either, but you definitely do have to monitor your HP. Once the girls start singing and your RP keeps replenishing, it's really fun to just spam attacks on him. The only time I actually got scared about losing to him was when he took out his huge sword and swiped it across nearly the entire stage, but it's easy to avoid~

Awesome! =p When I saw that he had the giant sword attack still, my jaw just dropped and I ran for my life. xDAyumi_Ishimaru wrote:>:DDDD

I ended up dying once from that attack due to the stupid mantis monsters ganging up on me on that dodging area and I had to move to the left a little and boom dead. And he had a quarter of hp left which made me scream. xD

LOL yeah those mantis things were annoying, but in my fight, Gelwein ended up killing them himself with his own attacks. I also ran for my life when he pulled out his giant sword, I thought it was the end XD
Now that Gelwein is gone....I can't decide between marrying Mist or Eunice for the life of me.
I married Mist in RF1...but I also like Eunice so much XD
Decisions, decisions.

*cough* Selphy *cough* kidding, yet I married Selphy yesterday to see what her marriage event was like and she is surprisingly a good wife when you actually propose to her. She says stuff like "Since your here.. do you want to read with me?" "Why are you looking at me?*blushes* Well don't worry! You can look at me all you want!" "You came back because you missed me that much?". Your wife even gives you a kiss goodbye, Harvest Moon why can't you do that huh!? >_>Ayumi_Ishimaru wrote:LOL yeah those mantis things were annoying, but in my fight, Gelwein ended up killing them himself with his own attacks. I was kind of sad to press the reset button but I might marry Tabatha, Annette, or Iris Blanche though, maybe Mist. It stinks that the game is basically taunting me saying "Marry Mist...IT ONLY MAKES SENSE THAT YOU WOULD MARRY HER" but then again in the game my name is not Raguna so ha. Yet I do find it funny that if you marry Mist, Annette basically steals the house.

O.O Oh « Harvest Goddess », that's bright blue. I like it a little better than the fuzzy hat, though... I think I'll craft one and just use it for battling.SinReVi wrote:@ Whale hat question: It looks like a purple/blue plushie-ish whale on Raguna's head.
@Blue: Eunice doesn't get enough love (or fanart). And she's sooooo sweet... I mean, c'mon - she feeds Annette when she's running late, brings Selphy meals, is friends with practically everyone, is a hard worker (as exhibited by her dieting), is always trying to improve herself (her bookshelf proves it), gives up her won vacation so that her parents can take a break, and goes out of her way to make people smile by giving them flowers. <3 And yet so few people marry her... I don't get it! Anyways, you can probably guess who I'm courting... :D
Eunice is indeed a very great character, I just seem to always pass by her so much that I don't notice. Yet I am aiming to get everyone at ten hearts and friendship points before I actually make a final pick though so, it's not like I'm not giving her a chance. =DMaki Zushi wrote:O.O Oh « Harvest Goddess », that's bright blue. Yeah, I've married Eunice, Anette, Selphy, and Bianca but reset because I only wanted to see what they'd be like as your wife. It's a very hard decision, but I am also aiming to get everyone to 10 and hopefully that'll make the decision easier (or I could just get even more frustrated lol.)
One thing to note about Selphy is that she claims she doesn't really cook and yet she makes the best lunches possible out of all the potential wives XD Well, I'm pretty sure they're at least two of the best anyway, her Sandwiches do replenish 425 RP...
Almost all girls seem to have similar dialogues about certain things. Most make comments about going to the bathhouse with you, but I've noticed some offer you a massage and some don't...maybe it's just completely random.
And the kiss goodbye thing...yeah, Harvest Moon truly lacks in that aspect.
EDIT: I forgot to mention how extremely lucky I felt while mining on the first floor of Green Ruins o_o
There's that door behind the rocks you have to break with a silver hammer in the room with the ants. Well, I broke the rocks and went in the room and using my Silver hammer, I mned the 4 rocks. Turns out, I got an Emerald. The next day, I mine them again, and I got a Diamond. Then the day after, I did t AGAIN, and got a Sapphire o_o Usually all I ever got from those rocks were scrap iron or silver.

Nice! =D And from what I heard, Annette in a land slide gives you the best lunch, I forgot what exactly it was but it recovers a massive amount of hp+rp.Ayumi_Ishimaru wrote:
