I suck at making up names, and i dont think its important, so i just make it up on the spot, nice to see that i'm not alone doing this.

It would be nice to be able to have pigs, so maybe that was why it was named that?
I do want a pig, chickens dont earn a lot of money, sheep dont give wool everyday, and cows are very expensive, so give me a pig!
