Why, yes. I can believe it. BELIEVE IT!

Heehee. Uh, I think it's both cute and a little strange. It makes me giggle every time I read it. Either way, what else could they have named her?

Why not a name that actually sounds like a name you would give a witch? Like Wryn/Wren or Griselda or Belladonna. Then there's Edwina, Edna, Ethel, Selena, Luna, Marjoly, Helga, Lilith or Willow.

In historical times, alot of accused witches tend to have the name Joan.

There are just so many friggin witch names to choose from I don't know what's their problem.

Let's see.. Witch Princess is 13 alphabetical characters altogether. Little Witch is what? 11 characters? Hardly breaking any limits.

Because then the fans would complain.
"They should have kept the name the same! Why did they give her a new name? When did it ever say anything other than Witchchama in the Japanese version."

But I think that no matter what they chose, someone would be displeased that they didn't keep the original. =p

I like the name WitchKin. It's not that big of a deal though. Just be thankful they didn't name her George or anything. O__O That's when you should be making a big deal out of it.

I know witchkinz isnt the "best" name they could have chosen but its not that big of a deal. im perectly happy with her name. but if it was a girl i was trying to marry it might be a different story. but i wouldnt turn her down just because of her name >_<

I agree that Witchkin is about as close as the translators at Natsume could get with our language. It's cute, it's quirky, and it get's the idea across. What more do you want?

I thought Witch-Pumpkin, myself. I think the character is just too cute.

True that.

We all need to realize names are bound to change when translated in order to (somewhat) fit in with the culture of the game's region, i.e. from Japan to North America. If anything, try not to stay so attached to characters' names. o_o

I wouldn't complain if it wasn't Wich-chama or having any other suffixes or whatever. That's silly because the English language doesn't have so many honorifics. There's no need for formalities unless the person is of a considerable rank/position. Like the Witch Princess for example. What is her niece's position compared to hers? Pfffft.

Whatever I'm going to treat this Witchkin thingy as a petname for a small kid.

Aww, I think it's a Cute name.

But, I mean seriously, what mother would name their child, Witchkins? XD Or Witch Princess? I think they're just nicknames that they call themselves and all.

They're translations of their original names, though, so yeah.
