If they did that the name would really match well with her ethnic appearance. It'd be like naming an Aztec warrior "Rutherford" or something.

Didn't we HAVE a Lily, and they changed her name to Lanna?

Natsume might have thought people would have difficulty pronouncing her name. (Like Chef Boiardi, for example)
