Heya everyone! :)

I read on the site that to be able to get your chicken to lay golden eggs, it has to win the Chicken Sumo festival and have 8-10 hearts.
My chicken won it before, but it had only got 3 hearts by that time so it continued laying small eggs.
Now, it has finally got 8 hearts and yet it's just laying large eggs.
Shouldn't it lay Golden eggs by now or do I have to win the festival again in order to get it?

Answers would be appreciated! :)

Technically, it should be laying gold eggs by now, but sometimes just waiting a while does the trick. Just wait a few days or until the chicken's at 9 hearts. It should start laying golden eggs soon.

Yeah, it worked after waiting a few days like you said!
But it started to lay P-eggs instead of golden.. ;p
But thanks for your answer! :D

Oh yay, P eggs are even better :D You must've been letting your chickens outside a lot. And you're welcome.

If the chicken has been out for more than 600 hours and hasa 8-10 hearts, and is a festival winner it will lay P eggs instead, they sell for more, and your chicken has a 1 in 255 chance of laying an X egg, which sells for a lot more. Good unless you want to complete the shipping list, then you'll have to use another chicken.

Speaking of p eggs, 600 hours divded by 24 hours = 25 days. So it would take 25 days for a golden egg layer to become a p egg layer, right?

It takes that much in total, not counting storms or bad weather where the chickens shouldnt be out.
