I left my dog there and he came back in late Spring, so maybe the basket does that too.

But the basket might not do that, maybe the dog only did that because there werent any more dogs for sale.
Or maybe he has a teleport necklace.

I think the ball is just a remnant of BtN. You used to have to throw it to train your dog for the race. Now it's just pointless.

As for shipping things before 5pm after the shooting star, is it really impossible to get everything if you run back and forth from your house to the bin with your basket? You'd have to have a LOT of stuff.
