Although, it's not really by choice.
I can't remember one time where a girl accepted at orange.

Gotten their blue feather at orange heart? Everyone should have got it at orange, its available at the supermarket once you have someone at orange.
But it's very hard to get the girl to accept at orange, and that's what i think you mean.

Not true, you can marry a person at orange or red (cuz when she accepted, she was at an orange). BUT the person you are marrying will NOT be at max hearts like those at red.

A divorce, something like if you left their LP low then there would be a divorce event?
That would give you a reason to have to give her gifts all the time, if you don't want to divorce with her.
