It says on Bulbapedia that you might be able to trade Pokemon into HG/SS without meeting a few requirements first (like maybe the National Dex, or that subplot in FR/LG). But it'd be awesome if you could just have it bred into eggs, like HaseoGUA said. D: That'd be an easier way for me to get a female Eevee since recently the games love the "Pokemon the gender opposite your character" thing.
So far my team's like this (this is tentative since I'll probably buy a guide to see what the best options are, alls I have now is the original Gold/Silver and Crystal guides):
Typhlosion
Espeon (maybe Leafeon if it's better than Espeon)
Furret
Lapras
Ampharos
Noctowl

I'm still so indecisive about the last 2 Pokemon on my team.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmm. Probably not Espeon cause I can't be bothered getting both Togepi and Eevee's friendships up. And the first Fire-type that you can actually get (minus starter) will probably also be on my team. I expect that to be Vulpix.
Yeah, definitely need to get both versions. XD

It was so easy getting the friendship up in Platinum... =P
There's that road that runs through Solaceon where it's a huge unbroken stretch of land that you can easily get your pedometer up by riding your mach bike over the over it. That's how I'd hatch all my eggs.
I've always wanted a Growlithe, yet I always fall back on Vulpix...

But either way, I'd rather just focus on one Pokemon to increase friendship on. So then I can have Togetic on SS and Espeon in HG, cause I know I'm going to have to get both. XD
Which is funny cause I prefer Growlithe over Vulpix. But you could only get Vulpix in Silver and I expect it to be the same with Soul Silver.

xD Seriously? That's awesome!
I was so excited when I found it actually...it was easier than doing my usual spaz run.
I never minded focusing on multiple friendships, since I usually never paid attention to them unless I needed the Footprint Ribbon (which by then I usually got) or I needed to evolve a Pokemon, like Espeon. Usually it was pretty easy for me because I would walk around a lot and battle with 'em.
D: It's a shame they made all the Fire Pokemon so cute, it's hard to choose. /shot
I wouldn't be surprised if they segregated the Pokemon as they did in FR/LG--it wouldn't be a problem to me since I could just trade with my sister who's also getting the game. You're probably right on guessing Vulpix is in SoulSilver, though, since I remember Growlithe being exclusive to Red, as it was in FireRed.
It looks like the PokeWalker is bundled in with the regular game! :3 That's good, I didn't want to buy it separate...

Haha, that's funny I use the same route as both of you when I hatch eggs too! xD I loved to hatch eggs because I always got Pokemon with moves that they normally should know(egg moves) and I always thought that it was pretty cool. I can't wait to see videos of this game when it comes out in Japan, they'll keep me occupied before the game comes out.Koneko Mizuki wrote:xD Seriously? That's awesome!

I used that route, too!
I'm really hoping we can get Togekiss before the Elite Four in HG/SS. It's a beast, and I love it, but I'll be wholly dissapointed if it ends up being another Pokemon you can't evolve untill after you start wandering Kanto. I'd have to find another flyer than Togetic.
I just restarted Platinum, and I've gotten an Onix on my team (which is a new one for me). It's hard to use it when I know that trading it and making it a Steelix would make it so much stronger, despite it already being a very nice Pokemon. I don't want to feel this way with Togetic, especially.
On that note, do you expect to see any new Pokemon, new evos, and such? Nothing like that occured with FR/LG, so I doubt it happen myself.
