My farm map since I have mythic tools:
Image

Most of the field is for crops, the rest is grass. I've drawn 2 small circles beside the branches; there I stand for watering.
I put my 8 chickens and 5 cows between the animal barn and the horse barn. My basket is the "fence" for them.
One sprites takes care of my animals; the other sprites harvest.

I earn with my crops every year 2,826,880 G:
Spring (cabbage): 392,000 G
Summer (pineapple): 896,000 G
Fall (sweet potato): 1,538,880

Is the town cottage even worth it? For 999,999,999g, is it good?

It's only 100million.

It's more of a trophy than anything else. It's kind of nice to be able to choose where to start your day, I suppose, and if you want to be super role-play person, you could say that's where you'll move when you get too old to work the farm and your son takes over.

Really, it's just a challenge. It's the thrill and satisfaction I'll get from doing something difficult.

Also, that looks like a pretty amazing layout for your field, but isn't it rather annoying to cut the grass that way?

Only 100 mill? Well then thats stilll a lot, but at least it isnt as much as i though.

And Susa-Ann's layout, i like it, its nice how all the watering can be done manually and quickly, it gives you more sprites to do harvesting. And i really like the idea of trapping the cow in there with a basket!

And how do you get these layout pictures? I know how to do it in DS, theres a little program, but how do you make it with FoMT?

Oh, wow, I didn't notice the basket deal. That's really ingenious. It doesn't make use of the Makers, but that won't really be a problem early in the game when I'm getting my 600 hours of outdoor time. I'm going to definitely make use of that trick. Thanks.

I don't cut the grass. My cows eat it (it doesn't matter that they are between animal barn and horse barn)

Yeah, when I posted that, I hadn't noticed the Basket and animals that were trapped there. I'm impressed; that's really clever. Did you think of that yourself or what?

Yes; it was my idea on my long way to 100,000,000 G. I've made a plan before I started and I wanted to calculate and optimize everything.

And I made a plan for a whole year. For every day I wrote down what I had to do. (Watering, buying animal-fodder, telling the sprites what to do, planting seeds, bringing animals outside, birthdays, making cows pregnant, cow-festival).
And I worked this way every year.

But I'd never do something like this again. It was boring, boring, boring ...

If you just keep doing the same things over and over again, the game will become very boring very fast, so thats why i just do what i feel like to do, instead of having a schedule.

What I'm worried about is mining. Mining is very boring very fast. The rest of the game, I don't really have a problem with a schedule, there, because it's usually enough varied activities within a short enough span of time that it doesn't really affect me. But mining, oh, gods, how I'm dreading the mining. Luckily, I'll only need to do it in Winter and Spring.
