I was plannig on getting either this game or Sun in english, to save money. Has anyone played both and have oppinions on which one is better overall? WB seems to greatly resemble Ioh on events and such while Sun looks like therer may be more to do. I'd like to know what people think. c:

I haven't played SI yet but I heard from friends that the game is very good. So If I was you I would buy english version of SI.

Wind Bazaar is a really nice game but we still know nothing about US version.

I can only say that SI is much more challenging game than WB. Also is much better than IoH.

WB is also very good but calmer and waaay easier (farming is a peace of cake)
- very nice graphic (the best of all HM games)
- nice music
- time doesn't stop when you are inside the house/cafe/barn
- time - 1 hour = 1 minute of our time
- great character voices
- you may have many pets (dogs and cats)
- your dogs and cats care about chickens and cows/sheeps
- no weeds on the field
- new system of selling stuff (like the title says - wind bazaar :P)
- you can leave your house during snowstorm
- the villagers accept your gifts even if you ignored them
- you can catch and sell bugs and frogs
- you get the cookies from girls/boys even if their heart is black (thanksgiving)
- funny random events
- no Harvest Sprites

Big minuses:
- not-romantic heart events
- the field is too small
- the greenhouse is too small
- no mining cave
- you can't save the damn game during day! (you can save it when you go to bed)
- your spouse does nothing special after wedding
- no befriending wild animals.

Ok, I have said a lot about WB. Like I said, the game is good but I would try SI first :)

I don't have Ioh. (I really saved money on that one and just watched all the events on youtube). I like challenging, but not too challenging. I don't want money to come in slow and a span of three years to get married or i'll get bored. -thankyoufornospritesamen-

I guess Si wins. I wonder if they will make a remake of WB. they seem to for almost every other game.

I found SI really challenging. Probably the hardest of the HM games I've played, but I didn't play IoH (or DS) so I can't really compare the two.

WB on the other hand is pretty easy, I'm near the end of year three and closing in on 100% completion (the bug and fish list is probably the hardest thing to complete) the only reason it took me so long to get married is because I changed the guy I was going after 3 times. Meanwhile, It's the end of my fifth year in SSaF, my farm is not even halfway done, my baby is still in her crib, all my crops die if I don't make a complicated watering chart, and it takes me hours upon hours to get enough ores from the mine for whatever I am doing... I gave up on it.

So, WB is perhaps a tiny bit too easy... and SI is too hard.

Okay, well, you pretty much convinced me to go for WB, Saccha ._.;;; I could use something mind-numbing and easy. And the new characters would be a little breath of fresh air.

I agree with Saccha. I have tried SI before. The crop system is really hard. I needed to make a record of water and sun points on my computer and checked every time I played. The game is nice with lovely characters and many places to explore. But the crop system pushed me down and I gave up on the first year summer...

WB is much much easier. The graphic looks really beautiful and I love the new love event song a lot! The biggest flaw is that the characters have shallow personality and random events are limited to learn more about the characters.

I think you can hear the new song only during the final (yellow) heart event :/

Oh... time keeps moving when you're inside? This is gonna be my first game like that. *likes when time freezes inside*

SI seems kind of like an IoH SE to me. I probably wouldn't be allowed to get it since it's so much like IoH. I don't want it anyway. So if you got IoH and don't mind not having the extra things in SI, go ahead and get WB.

EDIT: I'm sorry, I didn't notice where you said you'd get SI.

I only played SSaF for a few minutes, but I still like WB a lot better. I could play that game for hours on end and never be bored. It was different and didn't feel like an add-on (unlike SSaF which I compare to Pokemon Platinum in a way, more or less an expansion).

Well you can't really compare two games COMPLETELY different.

If you were comparing Sun and the original Island of Happiness that'd be a whole different scenario.

Even though I've heard about how hard SI is, and it's kind of scaring me, I know I'll buy both anyways. ^/ / / /^;; I'm such a fangirl. >_<

B-but what's this about only being able to save when you go to bed?! That was my least favorite part about some of the older games I've got [BtN..</3] and that kinda gets me a little less stoaked. I don't always have the time to sit down and play for a set time and stuff, so I appreciate being able to save wherever, or at least whenever, I'd like. ^^; Natsume probably wouldn't change that for a US release, so I guess I'd better learn to deal with it, huh? -__-; And I'm really looking forward to the new characters/new setting.
