Thats weird, because in Samurai Goroh's guide and all other guides, it always said littering on your farm doesnt count.

I do the exact same. I geet pissed even if one of the sprites or my family loses just one heart, then i shower them with gifts.
But theres confessing with Carter, you can confess that you don't take care of animals and maybe he will say that the HG has forgiven you and then the hearts will go up, or you could confess about littering and then villagers' FP would go up, does anyone know how much though?

My brother got his FoMT game about a week before me, so I knew all of the basics before I had even played it :p
So basically, I learned from his mistakes, and you can do the same by watching your cousin... (if that makes sense)
