eh, i just woo all the ones i like that arent extremely hard and then the events help me decide

I usualy check out all the guys beforehand and then I marry that person and I don't regret my desison most of the time. But I have to read all of the guys info and see all of there pics before I make my choice.

It's pretty easy for bacheloers because they aren't hard to choose for me. (I have never played as a girl in a game before but if I do I would be able to easly) For wifes it's hard but I will say who I have married.

I usually check it out beforehand so it's really almost never that difficult. Bachelors are more easier for me than bachelorettes since I usually fall for the bachelorettes after I played as a female for a bit.

It varies with me, and a lot of factors go into who I marry. Besides the obvious looks and personality, it's also a matter of whether or not I like the rival pairing and child (if applicable), and if our kids are different, what the kids will look/act like, et cetera et cetera.

64 was easy, I married Elli. She's really cute, and her pairing with the bakery master kinda creeps me out.

AWL was easy, too: Nami. While I went for the obvious domestic in 64, Celia was just painfully boring to me. But Nami was all distant and challenging... she was great.

AnWL was difficult, though. I really didn't like any of the bachelors. Marlin was boring, Rock was a cocky loser, and Gustafa was a stoner, we all know it's true. I ended up picking Gustafa, though, because I wanted an artsy kid. Though, when DS Cute came around (I never had MFoMT, so I didn't have those to choose from), Skye was the obvious choice for me. (If I had the Japanese version, though, I'd have gone with Leia.)

ToT was pretty easy for the guys. When I checked them out beforehand I really liked Gill, Chase, and Julius, but Chase and Julius actually had rival pairings while Gill didn't, so I figured I'd go ahead and let them get married. Also, Gill was there from the very beginning, and I'd have a painful wait with Chase or Julius. And that was fine for a while, but then I got to the Chase/Maya pairing, which really irks me. They're too much like brother and sister. (Chase even looks just like Maya's mom!) D: And Dakota was just... strange.
For the girls, it was tough between Phoebe and Luna. I ended up choosing Phoebe, because her kid was more unique.

EAM would've been the same affair with the boys, but now Gill has a rival pairing and a really cute rival kid. And he's the last person to unlock. And they fixed Chase so his hair doesn't look like salmon! So you'd think it would be easier to choose Chase, but I still had a really tough time. I did pick Chase, though.
The girls, though! They're all great, and they all have really cute kids. I still don't know who I'm going to marry as a boy. I'm thinking Vivi, though.

This is actually a huge problem for me in the HM series.
I always read about the character before hand and even watch various gameplay videos off heart events and etc. but I always end up liking more than one guy. I usually say to myself that i'll choose which one I will marry while playing the actual game, but when that happens, I have an even harder time choosing. It's also torturous to me when one of the bachelors I like has a rival that I dislike, cause then I don't want them to end up with each other.
It's gotten to the point where I raise all the their heart levels up and just not marry at all. :[ It's a really bad habit. I wantz bebies damit T^T

Exactly. Despite finding some girls odd to begin with I usually end up with them in the end. It's just as FabShelly says I guess about reading up (all their text to 10LP) and then following your heart, heh. There are definitely conflicts from time to time though on who to choose, but that is what the other files are for.

When I'm playing as a guy it's very easy to choose which bachelorette I want, in FOMT I choosed Elli and in AWL I choosed Celia. However the new games are making it harder to pick a bachelor D: in the old HM games, when you played as the girl, almost all the bachelors were ugly, and like one guy was okay. Now, especially with AP coming it's so hard to mpick one. I usually make my mind before I play the game.

Usually it's very very easy in Harvest Moon. It's kind of a situation where I simply point and say "that one" and that's that. Very rarely does a character surprise me, like Cathy did, I never really thought much of her at all but when I played the game she became my favorite female character.

Though, other (non-HM) games with dating sim features are the total opposite, and can make it really hard to choose. (Like, I still don't know who to marry in RFF). When that happens I just play through the game and wait for some character to win me over, rather than picking somebody out of the instruction book and "aiming" for them. Actually if I can help it, I don't really look at the instructions. Or take any long looks at the cover artwork. xD; Reading about all the characters before playing a game with heavy focus on character interactions makes it less exciting and more predictable.

Rock in HMDS:Cute (well, ACTUALLY; I had a hard time choosing between him, Skye, and Kai ), MFoMT is ABOUT to be Rick, and AP will be Toby! ^^;

Usually when I play a game Ill jump from person to person. It's really hard sticking on the person.
But in the end, I never regret the person I choosed :D

Me, neither; I always pick the right one! ^^;

I usually raise the heart points of all of the potential bachelors, and often come around to a descision through the various events, but most of the time I often have the top two of who I'm going to choose from.

Usually I can scan over the images of the bachelor/ettes and just pick one.

I pick the easy one first because I want to learn about the game at my pace. It's not just about marriage in HM. You have to balance all the tasks.
