i dont really understand the concept of heart events. I know that there are 4 event. black heart event is easy but i dont understand the purple heart event. Does the purple heart event happen after i get the purple heart or before. If she gets the purple heart before the purple heart event will that effect marriage. Im soooo confused

What happens is you may only see a heart event once you get a lady to that particular heart level. Same will go for rival heart events which will lead to someone else marrying a girl, except rivals have heart events on the colors you don't for the main part. Such as green and orange for a rival, while the hero's are purple and yellow. Both have black and blue though as colors.

It can be confusing indeed to begin with, but let me put it in simpler terms.

Rival
Black -> Blue -> Green -> Orange

Hero
Black -> Purple -> Blue -> Yellow

If a girl is at the blue heart level you can trigger your heart event then, but not before you reach it. Same with your rival (though sometimes blue will trigger before then for a rival, just as a glitch). You won't see the Green Rival event until year 3, or the Orange until year 4; that gives you 4 years to court any girl without fear of them marrying anyone else.

But if you do get to year 4 and have seen all four of a girl's rival heart events then they will be married one week later. If you are friends with the rival you'll be invited, or if you aren't you can still crash the wedding by going to the church on the correct day.

Yeah...but you can control whether or not your rival gets married with your girl by not seeing the heart events, like avoiding the place at a certain time....

Thats hard, you have to remember the rival events and when and where they take place, thats very hard and you can't always have the computer on the site when youre playing it, and printing all the events would be hard work.

True... I was going to get married to Ann but I went in at the wrong time and they got married!

True... I was going to get married to Ann but I went in at the wrong time and they got married!

Woah, yeah, thats how hard it can be, it can be a life or death, or more like marry to you or to rival situation.
