Giving gifts.

Hey, so I'm a bit confused because people say that only one gift has a affect on someones LP per day but before I knew this i would shower people with 9 or more wrapped gifts a day and there heart would go up a colour on say the fifth or so gift I gave them. So yeah i dont get how the fifth gift can cause there heart to go up a colour, if its supposed to have no affect.

Good question....when i asked this question some time ago samurai goroh nailed me, saying that there was no such thing and on and on and on.....
I think it will affect the LP, but less and less for every gift that you give.....cause i did that with Ann, and she went from black heart to purple heart after the 5th chocolate(wrapped).....

Mmm, your theory sounds pretty good so i'll stick to it, hehe I'm just glad I'm not the only one who thinks differently.

Wrong wrong wrong. Only ONE gift can affect LP per day. I need someone to back me up.
FP though, increases in smaller amounts with every gift.

What's the difference between LP and FP?
Do a certain number of FP equal one LP for a bachelorette?
Or are they two different things?

FP: friend points (or friendship points w/e you want to call it): for villagers and bachelorettes
LP: love points: for bachelorettes
the FP scale is from 0-255
LP is from 0-65,535

Then how does what i and brawn said above work? I think its only in DS that the whole "one gift for LP" was introduced.

For girls, only 1 gift affects directly (Love Points - LP), further gifts will go into another counter (Friend Points - FP), which only work as extra relationship points (on the next day).
For everyone else (including the Harvest Sprites), the first gift worths its normal value, but further items worth different. If it's a liked one (positive), it'll worth only 1/3 of its normal value, but if it's a disliked one (negative), it'll worth full.
Notes: Extra relationship points will only work if you talk to the girl in any time of that day, the points will be added in the next morning.
Wrapped items are 125% of their normal value. Giving gifts in B-days worth 500% of their value & if you do both is 625%, which is a lot. (Just be careful that giving items that people don't like will affect the same way)
