I have 2 saved files on my game. My friends where playing it and they somehow deleted a file. I dont understand how that is possible. How can you delete a file. I thought you can only overwrite with a new one. Is there anything I can do to recover the file. I have 2 questions and i need to answers. Thanks=)

Actually the same thing happened to me... my file somehow just got deleated and there were no save games whatsoever, and it was kind of disappointing considering that I was on my fourth year and had to start over again. I never managed to figure out how someone may have deleated it, but yeah, I was never able to recover it.

I think this is usually referred to as "your game batery dying".Harvest Fairy wrote:Actually the same thing happened to me... my file somehow just got deleated and there were no save games whatsoever, and it was kind of disappointing considering that I was on my fourth year and had to start over again. It usually happens when you haven't played the game for a while...
This happened to my Pokemon Gold and Silver GBC Cartridges
It also meant, in my case, that I could no longer save onto the cartridge, but this isn't always the case.
As long as you play regularly and are careful, you should be fine.

I don't think it ONLY occurs if you haven't played for a while...
I think it might just be the unreliability of the GBA cartridges...

Mine disappeared of it's own accord once, as well.
I freaked out. BUT, I took out the game, blew gently into it, and then re-inserted it into the gameboy, and the file was back.
I think it was just extreme luck, though.
Every other time that happened, I had lost it for good.
So, I didn't mean to get anybody's hopes up there, or anything..
