well there is this glitch in my game apparently that turns the normal english words into japanese lettering and of course i can't read japanese i can slightly speak it but not read it. it's happened only twice though

1. when I befriended Won I accidentally picked to play the apple game and the yes and no options were in japanese and so i picked a random choice and ended up playing the game anyway

2. a few days after i married cliff i went to the blacksmith to talk to gray and he said something in japanese and continued to walk around the blacksmith,i talked to him again and the response was back to english

i think I've heard of this somewhere before but i just made this topic just to be sure

That's just some text that wasn't translated, happens in a few parts. Can't remember in this version, but in the boy's version, there's even German XD

Also if you get all of Rick and Karen's rival events and then talk to Rick while he's in his shop he starts talking in Japanese D8

By looking at those pictures, you just saw Carter speaking German.

Anyways, I believe another instance is when Gray is being emo. His way of showing it is speaking in Japanese.

I didn't quite get WHY there was german text in that game

I mean, wouldn't they translate directly from japanese to english?

Carter speaks German a lot in the boy version, I think.

One time I was playing the game next to my dad and we saw Gray talk in Japanese. And I had to learn yes/no in Japanese to know how to play the apple game with Won. Heh. There are a lot of untranslated bits. They have some in DS and/or Cute, too. Gotz talking in Chinese.

I never PLAYED the boy version. I've just heard about him speaking German a lot.

BTW, careful on the post dates in the MFoMT forum. They're pretty dead now, since there aren't any more HM GBA games.
