• big ones - 99.9% there will be stairs
  Medium ones - 95% there will be stairs
  Small ones - 90% There will be stairs

But this is ONLY from person al experience and is ONLY an estimate. I have no sourse date to back this up! :)

I think the samll ones are 95%, from my personal experiance.

Yeah a few, but from mining tons in both mines, i've noticed that its easier to find the stairs in the spring mine, have you noticed that?

I'm not too sure about that one, but still
it is definitely easier to find the stairs in the Spring mine.
Maybe it's something psychological about the Winter/Lake Mine..?
Or maybe it's just that Winter is depressing, and seems to drag anyway, and therefore, it seems to take forever in the Lake mine...? lol

Maybe you should go to the lake mine in some other season, since, you have the teleport stone, and see what happens.

I've actually tried that...
some itemsaren't there in other seasons... I think Amethyst is one of them...?

so it probably isn't the case... although I have NEVER found one when it's not been winter...?

That's weird, i'll have to check that out-if i ever get the teleport stone. Really weird though, why wouldn't it be there?

Teleport Stone is in Spring Mine, and Amethyst is in Lake Mine lol
Spring = Ores
Lake = Rare Stones/Diamonds etc
