Quick question about the sprites.

I hired the blue ones to do something to Pierres house Im not entirely sure what. They seem to be walking around inside doing something.
Does anyone know what they're doing? Are they upgrading his house or is it something else entirely?

I believe they are raising Pierre's friendship points. Correct me if I'm wrong. :/
