Do you mean that you thought they were eating the grass that's automatically on the screen, that you didn't plant? Because the cows don't eat that grass. You HAVE to plant grass if you want them to eat outside. They might have died from stress from wild dogs or rain, but not because they ate the grass that they were supposed to eat.

No, I planted like fifty bags of grass all between my crops to kill all the weeds. The cows just don't need to be able to physically reach the grass to eat it.

Something similar to the cows eating grass outside the field happened 2 me, exept the cow somehow got outside the fence and there was no opening exept one corner (Chickens cant even fit though there, and ive tried pushing them though there. didnt work.) so i had 2 put it back in. lol. and i didnt have ny grass on the outside so idk why it would be there! weird cows.

The dying grass is a pain. In the older HMs I could grow the special grass on my field and that why I had no problems with weeds. In IoH the grass will die if I don't water it. That why I don't grow it anymore :/

It was much easier in the older games where you could just plant the grass, maybe water it once then forget about the damn thing for the whole year until winter.

Ahhhhh everyone says they hate the sun/water point system for this game, but since this is the only HM game I have, I can't really compare. But I guess when I get MFoMT (which I'm itching for) it'll seem a lot easier maybe :D

I used to be able to grow crops in games like HMDS, but in this one I just can't get right. I just fish and mine. But even mining is a pain in this game. In HMDS I had the blue HG hat and I could go into the 2nd mine (the one with gems) without and food and come out with lots of stuff. This was because when you got hit by a black animal you gained a stamina point with that hat. Now I have to take food into this stupid mine, and I hate going into the mine.

Oh and my grass kept dying because I'm used to not watering the stuff.

I got so fed up I started a new file...but I haven't touched the thing for ages.

I have never watered the grass inside my stone fence. 4 cows and 2 chicken- eat and it regrows.

Chickens don't eat grass. When they're left outside, they must eat..... bugs or something. But they don't eat the grass.

My grass has started dying, even though I water it and stuff..... I think it got too many sun points during the summer.

Now I am planting like 5-10 plots of grass in the green house, so I can control it much better and harvest it for fodder. I think this will really help my grass not die!

I hate having to water the grass after it gets fully grown. HMDSC didn't make you. the grass just grew back with no need of water at all.

I don't really grow grass. I'm targeting points in the game.

Currently, I'm working on marrying EVERYONE and having a kid with them. I've Done, Julia and Witch, now I'm working on Pierre. Shea next, then Chelsea. Then, I don't know. xD
