ahhh i need an answer! I know you just walk out of your farm house, but does it have to be a certian season?

Did you activate her black heart event first?

I do not know honestly since all I did was read up over at http://www.fogu.com/hm4 when I originally played and had no troubles.

Ah, glad to be of assistance to you. Was your first Harvest Moon game Island of Happiness? It would make a fair amount of sense since there are no black heart events for the main characters in that game.

No lol this was my first game XD just a new file!!! I just finished the DS one, so im not used to it because after i finished one file of this, i play MFoMT then HMDS then HMDS cute then this again, waiting for gamestop to get IoH in.

For triggering Popuri's black heart event you have to visit Saibara on a sunny wednesday or friday between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm. After you leave his house the event will be triggered.

Some people have triggered it just by walking into the area, but i think walking out of Saibara's shop is better.

I'd try walking into the area, and if that doesn't work, try Saibara's...

To save time, just walk out of Saibara's, works almost ever time.

I haven't been able to trigger it. Or her purple, and i tried blue just in case because my brother plays it sometimes--- No luck. And it can't be yellow because i just got her up to that~~

Make sure you read everything correctly, and just make sure everything you do is correct.
Try triggering her black heart.
-10am to 5:59 pm
-Wednesday or Friday
-Walk into the area, i triggered it with one try by walking out of Saibara's.
If you still have no luck, try the purple, over and over, you'll get it soon.

all heart events have ALWAYS worked for me...?

Just make sure you're doing everything correctly, thats almost always the case if you can't trigger it, its not like some glitched could disable heart events (right?).
