They just... happen to have the same name. That's the story. (Same thing about HMDS. They're the great-great-granddaughters of the bachelorettes in SNES)

And Popuri's Dad is Basil.
Kai is Karen's rival in 64.
Maria is a librarian in 64.
Harris is a mailman and Maria's rival in 64.
Maria and Harris get married in 64
Jeff is Elii's rival in 64

AND LIKE I SAID; The rivals are different because they aren't the same person, but relatives. So don't freak out and get confused and say that it's gross.... :B
