you need to connect for Van to enter your game, and to then get the records and Record Player.
I think you have to keep connecting to get all the records. I think.

I thought you had to connect then in Doug's Inn on certain days Van would be there and have records for sale(?)

this typo says that Lu is in the inn every Monday... (I know it's purposed to be Sunday) lol

While they don't do anything, I like to keep those gifts. Mostly because it was from the girl I wanted my guy to marry (yes, usually only the girl I wanted to have him marry ever got to that heart color). I keep it on the shelf since it is a gift.
