The Mythic Fishing Rod

It's 100% worth it. I read in another topic that it wasn't, but that's not true at all. Not only does it increase your chances of finding pirate treasure and fossils, you can actually catch fish with it. So you can put the large fish you catch in your basket instead of catching nothing.

As for the odds of catching more pirate treasures, I've found that my chances have increased greatly. When I used the blessed rod during the frisbee festival, I only caught three in one half hour. This time, when I used my mythic fishing rod, I caught 12 treasures in the span of 20 minutes, plus 27 large fish.

I just thought I'd share this information with people in case they were wondering. It'll be very helpful in getting that town cottage.

And upgrading costs 50,000g, so after just 5 pirate treasures, which, according to your information, should take no longer than 15 mins in a festival, it would already pay for itself! Sounds good, thanks for sharing the information.

I've been debating this myself... I too had heard about it increasing the odds of fishing treasures and fossils slightly, but not about catching fish too?!?! Thanks a lot!!

I'm glad I could be of help. It was something I was debating myself, so I figured other people might be in the same boat.

Yeah, I was honestly surprised and greatly pleased to find out that I could catch fish, too. You can catch all three sizes. I'm not sure if it increases the chances of catching the Kingfish, though.

Wow, the upgrade really is good for catching pirate treasure, I'm catching them quicker than usual.

The Mythic Rod is better than Blessed/Cursed in every way.
Increased chances for catching stuff and way decreased chances for catching trash.
Anyone who says that it's not worth it obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.
