For some reason, i don't feel that my dog does anything, when there is a wild dog, and i whistle, he just comes and does nothing much, luckily i dont leave any animals outside. Can the wild dog do anything else? Like can he kill crops, or can he make my dog unhappy too? Make him lose hearts?

No. All it does is make your animals unhappy. Be thankful it's not the same as in the old GBC games, where the wild dogs would EAT your chickens; all that would be left is a feather...

Does that include the dog and horse?

No, I don't think it includes the dog and horse.

Yes, all thats left is a feather, and when you go up to it it says something like "Oh no! Wild dogs!". I can't remember the exact text... but, yah. Very annoying...
All it did to your cows and sheep was make them unhappy, though, so thats a good thing. That woulda been a heck of a dog if it was taking down full grown cows by itsself. :)

haha yeah
I remember the feather on HM SNES lol
and I've never had an issue with the unhappiness, only that the dog walks around the fence trying to get into your animals, and then eventually gives up after an hour or so... :P
