By the way, I gave them all basic level Pokemon because you have to train them to evolve.

Juli = Roserade. It's one of the gaudiest Pokemon out there (it's no doubt a reference to Rose of Versailles, specifically Takarazuka version, I won't believe otherwise... the resemblance is too uncanny. I always named my Roserade "Lady Oscar" ) and he goes spastic for roses.

If we're going to put Juli with a gaudy pokemon I think he'd be better with a Jynx.
I could see Gill with a Roselia or maybe a Meowth or Persian.
Toby would be with some sort of fish pokemon like a Qwilfish or Barboach
For some strange reason I could see Selena with a Medicham

I can see Julius with a Shaymin, for some reason. Maybe Luke could have a Gallade. gallades can cut stuff too.
