To 1 and 2, your buildings can't be destoyed, and you can't upgrade with Gold Lumber.

To connect to AnWL, you need to go the the Goddess Pond (head south through your farm, then keep heading south until you see a path heading north west.) and throw a flower in.You can get a flower from the area south of your farm.

The Jewel of Truth is one of nine jewels. After collecting all nine, you get the Gem of Truth. It takes 50 in-game years to get all jewels.

Chickens are the best animals to get first, then cows. You should plant strawberries in spring, pineapples in summer and sweet potatos in fall.
Winter is a good time to raise animal affection to get the higher selling products. Also, you can leave your animals outside to gain affection, but cows and sheep need fully mature grass. Your horse and dog will also benefit from being left outside, I think.

You can't get strawberries until you have shipped 100 of all the spring crops the supremarket offers. Right off the bat it's best to plant a crop of cabbages, then once you harvest them, replant. This actually gets you more money than strawberries.

Since all the other questions have been answered, I'll just give you a useful tip. :D

At the beginning of the year, a useful game show will be playing on the TV. It's on the channel you get when you press the left directional button. Sometimes it doesn't appear at first, so keep pressing the left directional button and it'll eventually work. It's a simple game where the Harvest Goddess gives you a number, and you have to guess if the next number will be higher or lower. If you get 10 in a row, you get a bag of tea leaves which sells for 1000G. It's always useful to get some good money like that at the beginning of the game. It means you can get chickens earlier.

Also, the site's always helpful.
