Charmander is cool, but Charizard's 4x weakness to rock is just a killer DX Especially when you go up against a Weavile and think "This isn't a problem" then they 1 hit KO you DX

It just has to be Bulbasaur with me. Squirtle ranks in at number two and I was never a big Charmander fan.

Squirtle and Charmander are very close, but Squirtle wins by a tiny bit.

My favorite Kanto starter is Squirtle. Probably because ever since I played Pokemon Red and Blue, I have always chose a water pokemon for my starter in every pokemon game.

Always the water starter.
Every generation seems to have good grass & fire types (magmar & flareon are my favourites) but it seems next to impossible to find a good water-type (except Gyarados or Quagmire).
Maybe it's just my love for water starters though. Especially totodile. He was boss.
