Lots of animals ?

I saw on images monkeys, pigs, rabbits, racoon...

so, what is their purpose ? Are they pets like in AP ? Can you have them on your farm?

They are wild animals you can hire to do non-farm tasks.

I know the little piggy can go and fetch mushrooms for you, but that is the only task I know.... Not so sure about the others.
