What do you think of the new system?
Well, the Farm Degree page is up,( http://fogu.com/hm8/basics/farm_degree.php) and I don't think we've discussed this yet, so here goes. One of the most interesting changes in Sunshine Islands is the "leveling" system for your various tasks. You will need to earn a certain amount of points in each area to unlock options that aren't available from the start, for example:
Cooking-Difficult cooking recipes require a higher cooking degree for a 100% success rate.
Fishing- More types of fish will be catchable as you earn the points in this Mining-You can't reach the bottom of the mine until you have a high Mining Degree.
Therefore, people like me, who tend to try to get to the bottom of the mine very soon after it's unlocked, won't be able to. Those of us/you who used mining as a way to make quick millions in IoH might not be able to do so for a while. It'll take being a very dedicated fisherman to marry Denny and Shea. What do you think of this system, and how do you think it'll affect the way you usually do things?

Ohh... Ahaha, it might be a bit more challenging, considering I'm not one for mining... but I do seem to catch fish regularly, so that might not be a problem... and cooking is something I enjoy in all HMs.
It might take a bit before I can go full swing in this, I suppose. I guess I won't just get to fling my money in this game just willy-nilly.

I like the farm degree. It makes SI more challenging =D
The game would be crappy if everything was easy. Trust me, the easy games get boring very quickly.
I also like some stuff like wallpapers (we already had them in DSCute. I don't know why they did take them from IoH), colorful animals, many new places to discover, new pets, more interesting festivals, etc.

There's so many new features in this game I'm looking forward to. The leveling system sounds kind of challenging and I'll probably like it. I just hope it won't be so challenging that it'll frustrate me and then I'll quit the game, lul.
I'm also excited to see the in-game tracker of how many water/sunlight points are given to my crops. It's going to make everything so much easierrr!
Harvest Sprites are back in business? I've missed my slaves. ;)
