Beginning Plan

I just began a new file, and I'm still figuring out exactly what I ought to focus on first. I figured if I hear what you guys worked on first, it would help me. (I'm in spring of my first year)
Did you focus on friending the sprites to help you on your farm? Did you save up money and buy a cow? Or did you begin right away working on one of the girls? Did you work at getting better tools first?
I guess I'm trying to do too much too soon. I'm going to get the bigger rucksack first, I figure that will let me do more in the mine, and let me carry more things.

I usually try juggling alot at once.
I spend my initial doe on some seeds.
Since theres not much work, I go running around the town chasing people,
giving to the people who have easily accessible gifts. Meaning sprites.
At the same time I'm also rackin in some from the « Puppy Doodoo » around the forest.
Then I'll get a bigger rucksack. After that a chicken, and rapidly reproduce them.
I'll upgrade tools, to help farm quicker, and soon obtain a cow or sheep.
And so on.

I usually focus on wooing the girls, and get the turnips I get for free planted quickly.

I focus on money/girls. I gather grasses and all that and buy a basket, then on fall 18 I use the save/reload to see who will win the 1st horse race. I bet everything I got, win, get as many broaches as I can hold, then buy 99 pineapple seeds. I befriend the sprites while getting my tools to mythic. When summer comes I plant all my crops, hire the sprites, and help as much as possible, then, come the end of summer, I have plenty of money, enough to buy 99 sweet potato seeds and get even richer after fall. I upgrade all my buildings (I chopped all the wood possible everyday), and fully stock my barn and chicken coop. Voila! Thats how I started, you might not be quite as efficiency based, but, meh, it's your game, you do what you want.

I focus on crops and making my field look beeeautiful first. Money and wooing are equally important. Friending sprites and animals comes last.
I definitely don't have a plan as organized as the above post.

I focused mainly on getting a good amount of money to be able to buy what I needed without going broke, and began to go after the different bachelorettes.

well, since the game never ends, I would take your time so you don't get bored right away.
personally, I just start by wooing the girls, and planting. o.o soo..I just get the marriage part done first, and then focus on raising money.

I started by foraging, I gave the foraged items as gifts, and sold them, once I had a lot of money, and the sprites with enough hearts, I started to mass plant crops, while giving gifts daily to Popuri.

Usually, I try to make money first.
I ship everything possible, then buy turnip seeds.
And later, when it's too late to ship anything more for that day's profits, I go into the mines and do that.

Thanks you guys. I just started summer, and I've got 4 chickens so far, the bigger rucksack, and most of my tools at at least copper (my hoe is silver, and scythe will soon be mystril). I've got 3 sprites working for me (1 for each). And I do a little bit for karen each day. And I've got about 3000 to spend on crops for the summer, just working out how much to buy of what.
What do you have your sprites doing? Do you use all 7? Are they all really good at everything, or just one thing? I'm planning on 3 for watering, 3 for harvesting, and 1 for animal stuff.

At first, I just focus on money. Money, money money.
In the morning, I'd wake up, then go run down to get as much roots and grasses as possible. If I had enough time, I'd talk to the villagers and then my field, but slowly.
Save up for a basket, buy one when I have enough money, and just keep saving that money for the Horse Races. It's tedious, but rewarding, and you could always work up on your relations later. o:

I usually have 4 watering and 3 harvesting.
All of the sprites that are assigned to a certain job have a full bar in that job (watering sprite has full watering bar), and about half bar in the other job (watering sprite has a half harvesting bar), just in case I have to switch them for some reason. All my sprites have no animal experience.

That's an interesting set-up HMM, do you have a full chicken coop, and cow/sheep barn? Do you keep them outside at all times? Or do you not have that many, and you take care of them each day?
My one watering sprite can't handle all the crops I planted for the summer, (5 tomato,m 5 corn, 2 onion) and so I've had to spend a good portion of my morning watering a bunch of them. I'm working on friending another one to do watering, and training them with the game when they don't work.
