Oh i think the scale you fished up not the Grimore Scale but just a rare scale ( the final boss drop it, too)
So don't worry much. It's not used in any recipe but it's a nice enhance material. I attach it into every weapon. It's make your weapon drain enemies's hp (about 10 %) and can put enemies to sleep. Very useful in wifi dungeon

Um, if you meant a green scale that you fished up, that's just a rare scale, which allows you to Absorb Hp from enemies when you hit them. A grimore scale is blue in color. You could get a few from the boss in the 140 wireless dungeon, or you could go to the boss island thing in the spring forest and beat up grimores to get them.

... I can't help you with that unfortunately, since I was so horribly overleveled when I first went there I killed a grimore in two hits. I think I've been training waaaaaaay too much.

Boss island? in spring dungeon? Level 25? I highly NOT recommened you go here now.It's too early. When i smash the final boss, i was level 51 with high equipment at that time but i had a hard time fight the boss there. Not to mention the field-ice attack of the crystal mamout take me in one hit

Oh man, you won't BELIEVE how much trouble I had on that thing in RF2. It took me over a real life year to beat it! Maybe I'll wait until I have all 3 kids.

You can craft some weapon that enhace your defence. I think level 50 or above with good euipment ( can use the one gadzi' sell ,too. just make sure i's not elemental) is enough to take the boss there

Crystal Mammoth's ice nova is *supposed* to take you out in one hit. Which is only fair, since you get 20+ seconds' worth of warning to stay well away from it (RF2) and it's extremely predictable.

Of course, some bosses have been changed to be more powerful from RF2 to RF3, but the basic idea of the attack is the same.

Oh, okay. I just found these gold twin blades in a treasure box in the first room in the spring dungeon. What luck! I also found the Big Knife, a staff and something else, but I sold it all except the gold twin blades.

Darkfaerie101: if you fear that damn mamout that much, just use fire magic to kill him form distant.
I used a fire-bomb spell (highest-level fire magic) and use about 4-5 hit, it die
I only level 54 at that time but you can equip a staff to increse magic attack to take in in ealry level

Oh you can go to wifi dungeon to find treasure chest. It's a lot there. If you lucky you can find all ultimate weapon at high level, too

Not sure if it been posted, but RF3 got on 5th place in game sales on release week - so that's pretty good news!
